International Film Festival Cannes, 2003

Victor Nieuwenhuijs studied Politics at the University of Amsterdam, then painting and photography at the Ateliers ‘63 and film at the Free Academy in The Hague with experimental filmmaker Frans Zwartjes.

Maartje Seyferth studied acting and directing at the Theaterschools of Antwerp and Amsterdam. She played in avant-garde, trendsetting plays, then she studied painting at the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam.

 In 1986 Victor Nieuwenhuijs and Maartje Seyferth decided to co-operate as filmmakers and later founded  MOSKITO FILM foundation.

Their films are now part of the collection of the Dutch EYE Film Institute.
