Moskito Film is happy to receive again the 2008 jury for the prestigious IDFA Joris Ivens Award. At the Moskito Cinema the jury views all films in the Joris Ivens competition.

Since many years Moskito Film (Victor Nieuwenhuijs & Maartje Seyferth) hosts the Joris Ivens Award Jury of the International Documentary Filmfestival of Amsterdam. In our private cinema we screen for the jury all films in competition, whether on 35/16 mm. film or on any video format.
Victor Nieuwenhuijs & Maartje Seyferth will participate in the CINEMA SOLUBILE event in Rome on 22 + 23 October , 2007. This event, organised by Federico Bonelli and inspired by the Futurists, takes place both in KOLLATINO UNDERGROUND and ANGELO MAI in Rome. On October 22, there will be a special screening of VENUS IN FURS.
We are proud to inform you that our co-production UNA BALLATA BIANCA (A White Ballad), directed by Stefano Odoardi has won the GOLDEN REEL AWARD 2007 for BEST FILM at the Tiburon International Film Festival.
New Babylon de Constant has been selected for the competition of the International Documentary Film Festival “It’s All True” in Sao Paulo. The festival will also travel to Rio de Janeiro.
NEW BABYLON DE CONSTANT has been selected for the 25th edition of the Festival International de Film sur l’Art (FIFA) March 8 - 18, 2007.
During the 1st Pornfilmfestival of Berlin (from oct. 18-22, 2006) VENUS IN FURS was shown in the Dutch Retro Program.
The film has also been invited to take part in the Erotic Film Festival of Athens (from jan. 18-21, 2007).
